Deeping St Nicholas Vine House Farm Shop welcomes delegation
A farm shop was held up an example of best practice and innovation during a special visit.
Staff at Vine House Farm Shop and Cafe in Deeping St Nicholas welcomed a large delegation from the Farm Retail Association who had come to learn more about what this well-liked business has to offer.
The shop and cafe has proved to become a firm favourite with customers by selling locally produced food and bird seed.
Laura Copeland from the association said: “Each year a group of our members – all of which have farm shops or are planning to have – make a small tour around the country to visit farm shops which represent best practice and great innovation. This really helps our members as they can pick up ideas and then apply them to their own operations.”
Managing Director of family owned-and-run Vine House Farm, Lucy Taylor, was thrilled to be chosen.

She said: “The whole team at Vine House Farm were extremely proud to welcome such a large group of members from the Farm Retail Association.
“Our real point of difference as a Farm Shop and Café, is that it follows the ethos we apply to our wider farming operation, which is all about putting the environment and wildlife conservation at the heart of what we do. I very much hope the association members left us inspired and full of ideas.”
The shop has recently been given the go-ahead to expand.
