Donington Summer Fest branded ‘biggest and best yet’




Not even the wind could put a stop to the popular Donington Summer Fest.

Organisers say the weekend’s event – now in its seventh year – was the ‘biggest and best so far’.

Saturday’s event delivered a vairety of bands and family entertainment for people to get stuck into.

The bands included Sleaford Ukulele Orchestra, The Sugar Beats, The Shuttles, Keep the Faith and The Return.

Visitors also enjoyed the face painting, balloon artists, bouncy castle, inflatables and more.

The annual event is organised by The Donington Summer Fest Group who have been running the fate since 2015.

Jane Pearson, who is part of the group, said: “The whole day went very nicely, it was very well attended.

“We aim to make it a really nice family day for people, that’s the overall objective of the day.”

All of the funds made from this event are put towards the next fete or to a local charity.
