What is the best treasure you will ever find? A pearl! And that is exactly what I am, an absolute treasure.
Hello everyone, I am Pearl, the perfect lurcher! I’m a shy young girl who loves attention and with a little bit of patience can become your best friend.
I came into the centre as a stray, so my friends aren’t too sure on my history. I’m not too sure what a home is, so initially I will need minimal leaving hours so I can get use to my new surroundings.
I can live in a home with children aged 12 years old (Key Stage 3) and above, I don’t fancy living with any other dogs or animals at the moment.
I would like to live in a quiet home where I can enjoy lots of exciting walks but also cosy cuddles!
I’m currently having some medical treatment, its only short term and my friends at the centre will be more than happy to go through that with you in more detail!

We are thrilled to launch our annual photography competition once again, to raise pounds for our pooches, and put together another fantastic Jerry Green Dog Rescue calendar for 2024.
Make a suggested donation of £5 and submit your best photo to be in with a chance to win an absolutely fantastic prize.
This year’s competition opens on Friday February 17 at 6pm and entries will be accepted until Friday March 24 at 4pm. All the entries will then be uploaded to our Facebook page on Saturday March 25 at 11am, where our supporters will choose the top twelve by ‘liking’ their favourites. The twelve with the most reactions on Sunday evening at 6pm will then make up Jerry Green Dog Rescue’s 2024 calendar! Furthermore, the top five will be judged by our wonderful sponsors, Vitalin Pet Food, and the winner will be announced on Friday March 31.
The winner will receive the grand prize, very kindly donated by Vitalin Pet Food, of a year’s supply of their super premium, hypoallergenic complete dog food. With veterinary assistance, Vitalin nutritionists have worked carefully to formulate hypoallergenic recipes that cater to a dog’s overall health and wellbeing; combining high quality protein from 100% British meat; before enhancing their food with nutrient packed botanicals such as fruits, vegetables and herbs. Entries must have a dog theme, but do not necessarily have to be of dogs, so feel free to be creative. Best of luck and we can’t wait to see your work.
