Temporary traffic lights on Spalding roads cause chaos for motorists
Work on busy town roads has created traffic chaos for motorists.
London Road in Spalding, will have two-way temporary traffic lights until the end of the week (Friday, January 24). A set has been placed close to the Vine Street junction and lights near High Bridge - which made life difficult for drivers during rush-hour traffic.
National Grid will be working at the site to reinforce the network to maintain the reliability of supply.
A spokesperson for Nation Grid said: "We'd like to thank motorists in Spalding for their patience while we undertake reinforcement works on London Road. Temporary traffic lights are expected to be in operation until Friday, January 24.
“We know there's never an ideal time to undertake roadworks, but this is essential work to maintain the reliability of electricity supply for homes and businesses in the local area."
There are also temporary traffic lights on Pinchbeck Road, near the entrance of the Castle Sports Complex.
