Spalding's SADOS hails success of Ghost The Musical - but now is on the hunt for new practice space

Ghost The Musical was labelled a grand success with only a handful of tickets unsold - but performers now need a new home.

The Spalding Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society (SADOS) show took place from November 9 to November 12 at the South Holland Centre and received lots of positive feedback.

One fan described it as the ‘best SADOS show we have ever seen’. Paul Coleman, from SADOS, said: “ This was really heartwarming for us and really nice to hear.”

He added: “It went really well and we had a great turnout.”

SADOS celebrated 150 years of providing local community theatre two years ago in 2020.

Due to Covid the society was unable to celebrate its anniversary in the way they would have liked.

As this was their first performance since Covid, Paul said: “ It made it special and everyone was pleased to be back on stage again.”

At the moment the SADOS team are sadly searching for a new home.

Their current rehearsal space has been sold and they are currently in the process of looking for a new temporary home.

Paul said: “ This is our next major project - so we can live as a society. We have a lovely family atmosphere and everyone has a real good team effort.”

SADOS is currently preparing to get stuck into the reheasals and preparation for their Christmas show.

The show is set to be performed in the second week of December.

SADOS is a registered charity which promotes the performance of live drama and music amongst the young people in South Lincolnshire.

It runs two shows a year.
