Three people suffered serious injuries in A52 crash at Swaton crossroads
Three people suffered serious injuries in a crash involving a van and two cars yesterday afternoon.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the collision – which happened on the A52 at the Swaton crossroads junction with the B1394 just before 3.30pm yesterday – to come forward.
The crash involved a white Peugeot Boxer van, a grey Mercedes-Benz E Class car and a silver Citroen Xsara car.
Four people were taken to hospital as a result, three with serious injuries – the driver and a passenger in the Citroen and the driver of the Mercedes.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesman explained: “We believe that the van was travelling south on the B1394; the Mercedes was travelling west on the A52; and the Citroen travelling east on the A52 before the incident happened.”
The road was closed for the rest of the day and did not reopen until the early hours of this morning.
Anyone who saw the crash or may have dashcam footage is asked to email SCIUInvestigators@lincs.police.uk or call 01522 212316, quoting Incident 299 of October 4.
