Leaders at three South Holland schools have reported positive tests for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, it has been confirmed today (Thursday, December 17).
Pinchbeck East Primary School, The Priory School, Spalding, and Whaplode Primary School, are among 21 primary and secondary schools across Lincolnshire where either a pupil, student or staff member has tested positive for the virus and informed their school.
The list, published by Lincolnshire County Council's children's services department, related to the period from Thursday, December 10, until Wednesday, December 16.
However, it is not known whether a pupil or staff member at Pinchbeck East, Priory and Whaplode tested positive, nor whether any year groups have been asked to self-isolate as a result.
Andy Fox, the county council's consultant in public health, said: "Schools have done a great job this term in limiting the potential spread of the virus, helping to keep our communities safe.
"It has not been an easy task but they have really risen to the challenge and I hope that everyone is able to enjoy some time off during the Christmas break."
