Winter Wonderland opens in Spalding
A popular festive charity event for the whole family, returns in time for Christmas in a town’s shopping centre.
The Winter Wonderland Walk at Springfields Outlet Shopping and Leisure invites families to experience a unique journey of lights with one million bulbs through the beautiful Festival Gardens.
Filled with picture-perfect moments, a new, longer walk has been designed including brand-new zones inspired by the magic of winter and the festive season.
There are also plenty of selfie opportunities along the way, which are guaranteed to help families get into the Christmas mood as well as a breathtaking new Neon Tunnel entryway.
The Momotaro Garden is another new feature this year, providing a tranquil trail which meanders through a traditional Japanese design show garden.
Amongst this year’s other highlights are a 12-metre-tall Christmas tree and a spectacular 36-metre-long light tunnel lit by 10,000 bulbs. Springfields Outlet Shopping, with its over 55 stores, has also been decorated ready for the Christmas shopping season.
Proceeds from the Winter Wonderland Walk will go towards the Lincolnshire NHS Charity, Springfield’s charity of the year, in support of Johnson Community Hospital in Spalding.
Prices are £4 for adults and £1 for children with no booking fee. All tickets must be booked online in advance, on the Springfields website.
Spokesperson Adam Whittaker says: “The Winter Wonderland Walk has become an annual tradition for many families and is a must-see every year at Springfields as part of the Christmas shopping experience.
“Our longest and best walk yet promises to be unforgettable with new light features, whilst benefiting the local community by helping raise funds for an important cause.”
This year's Winter Wonderland Walk will be open from today (Friday, November 3) to December 23
