The situation at a South Holland abattoir is ‘tight but manageable’ - according to its owners.
Supermarket giant Morrisons owns Woodheads, which is based in Brunel Road, Pinchbeck.
Abattoirs across the country have been hit by issues with carbon dioxide and staff shortages in recent weeks - while a butcher shortage has seen healthy pigs culled across the country.
A spokesman said: “The situation is tight but manageable at Morrisons.”
