Beautina Nails opens new salon on The Crescent, in Spalding
An excited nail technician says she is looking forward to the future after opening a new salon in the ‘perfect’ location.
Tina Johnson, 41, of Spalding, has re-located her previously home-run business, Beautina Nails, to a new site in The Crescent.
After studying graphic design in college, Tina went on to complete various nail technician courses and qualified in 2013 – she decided to finally take the plunge and started her own business a year ago.
She said: “Beauty and nails was something I wanted to do for a while because I enjoy the artistic side of it all – it’s really exciting and new and I am looking forward to the future.
“It has been a change for me but I wanted to progress my business and experience an in-salon environment.
“I think The Crescent is the perfect location as there are lots of people walking by and I am surrounded by other businesses which have been here for many years.
“I paint all of my designs free-hand and create bespoke and personal designs for my customers.”
Tina built up a lot of her skills and knowledge during lockdown, whilst taking part in various online nail art courses.
Some of her designs have been featured in Scratch Magazine and Tina has also won many online competitions.
She added: “People have been really excited about my move and all of my regular clients have been in to see me. I’ve had lots of positive feedback from new customers as well which is nice.
“I feel like I’ve got my routine, I know what to expect now and I have my own technique which is lovely and I’m really enjoying it.”
The new salon, which is connected to Electric Beach Tanning Salon, is open Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm and Saturday 9am-2pm.
