Baby Burrowing Owl taken in by Baytree Owl and Wildlife Centre in Weston

This Burrowing Owl chick had a close encounter with death but is now doing ‘amazingly well.’

Manager at Baytree Owl and Wildlife Centre’s Mark Birdsall, took the baby in after its mother didn’t look after her babies properly.

The owl pictured above is currently the only one for this year and is the first Burrowing Owl baby the centre has had for years.

Mark said: “The baby is doing amazingly well, eating loads and growing well.”

Baytree Owl and Wildlife Centre will be hosting a baby day on Sunday, April 30 and Monday, May 1.

Visitors will get the opportunity to meet all the babies the centre is looking after.
