HSBC branch in Spalding to close for a month of essential maintenance with nearest counter or digital service in Boston and Peterborough




A town centre bank will be closing for a month to undergo essential maintenance.

HSBC UK in Market Place, Spalding is closing at 2pm this Friday (August 23) and will reopen at 9.30am on Tuesday, September 24.

Signs in the building state ‘see you soon, we’re closing for a little while for essential maintenance - we are sorry we need to close this branch for improvements’.

Paul Sargent, HSBC UK’s local director, said: “We continue to invest in our branch network to make our customers’ experience banking with us a good one.

“We are pleased that our Spalding branch is getting a refresh, with some painting, new signage and the installation of new state-of-the-art cash machines, which we are excited about.

“We have been talking to customers about the temporary closure for the last month, and while we are having the work done people can continue to use their nearest Post Office for day-to-day transactions, plus mobile and online banking is available 24/7 in addition to being able to call our contact centre.

Bosses say that customers will be able to seek advice from HSBC staff at community pop-up events based in Spalding Library starting Tuesday, August 27 until Monday, September 16 from 9.30am to 4pm and some services are accessible at the Post Office at the Winsover Centre in Winsover Road.

The nearest HSBC UK Digital Service Branch (with no counter service) is Market Place in Boston with the nearest branch with counter service being Cathedral Square in Peterborough.

Customers can call 03457 404404 (personal) or 03457 606060 (business).
