Graffiti sprayed onto former Bull and Monkie in Spalding




Graffiti has been sprayed over a derelict town centre grot spot - as further tags have been cleared.

The Bull and Monkie pub in Spalding’s Churchgate has been blight in the area for many years but has now been covered with graffiti tags.

South Holland District Council has now confirmed that the political slogans which had been sprayed onto its building in Priory Road have now been cleared.

While it is not clear when the tags have appeared on the Bull and Monkie, there are some political messages.

“End racism’ and “End hate, time for understanding’ can clearly be seen on the pub sign.

Problems with graffiti have also been reported at Spalding Skate Park and a second tag has been sprayed onto the popular town centre artwork at the former Calthrops building in Market Place.

Weston has also suffered some vandalism with graffiti appearing on the new bus stops.
