Spalding Town Forum meeting ends with a humorous Handforth Parish Council style comment

The virtual meeting of the Spalding Town Forum ended on a humorous note after one councillor was compared to viral superstar Jackie Weaver.

Coun Angela Newton was likened to the internet star, who hit headlines after her comments during Handforth Parish Council's now infamous explosive meeting which went viral earlier this year. Coun Newton had queried at the end of the meeting as to why Vice Chairman Coun Rob Gibson hadn't been consulted on the agenda prior to the meeting taking place.

Chairman Coun Roger Gambba-Jones replied: "I didn't have a pre-meet, all I got was a copy of the agenda and he was copied in to the emails that you sent out. Nothing else was done prior to that."

As the meeting was called to a close, with a smile on her face and her tongue in her cheek Coun Christine Lawton said: "Goodnight Jackie Weaver."
