Greggs in Spalding to close for more than three weeks for ‘re-fit’

A popular town centre bakery is set be closed for almost a month.

Greggs in Hall Place, Spalding, will be taking its last orders this Sunday, before re-opening on Thursday, July 10, with a ‘fresh new look’.

The nearest alternative branches for customers are in Hugh Close — on Enterprise Park in Pinchbeck — and at Applegreen services to the south of the town.

A spokesperson from Greggs said: “Greggs in Spalding will close on June 15 for refurbishment and will be reopening with a fresh new look on July 10.

“In the meantime, customers can still shop their Greggs favourites at the Hugh Close shop.”

Greggs declined the opportunity to explain why the work is being carried out. A sign on the doors of the shop explained hat the store will be having a ‘re-fit’.
