Spalding photography student mingles with the stars at Netflix premiere of The Crown
A Spalding student had a brush with fame this week when she was invited to a star studded red carpet event at a London theatre.
Caitlin Langford (20), who lives in the town, was one of 15 students from the British Academy of Photography who were picked to attend the premiere of season five of The Crown.
Former Spalding Academy student Caitlin was delighted to join the world's media to photograph the event, which launched the somewhat controversial fifth season of the hit show.
She said: "It was brilliant to be there - it just didn't feel real.
"I photographed all of the stars; Jonathan Price, Dominic West, Lesley Manville, Gillian Anderson and Imelda Staunton.
"I was really excited to see Imelda Staunton as I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and she was in the films."
A number of stars made their way down the red carpet at the Theatre Royal on London's Drury Lane on Tuesday night.
After getting her first taste of what it's like to work in the media, Caitlin is now looking to what could come next.
She added: "It's my dream to become a press photographer so I really hope I can do and do more events like this."
Controversy has surrounded the latest series of the hit show, which focuses heavily on the marriage breakdown of the then Prince and Princess of Wales. However, there is extra interest from closer to home in this series as Burghley House features as the backdrop to some of the action.
Many well-known figures have called for a disclaimer to be added to remind viewers scenes are imagined.
