Tractor sheds its load of cabbages near A17 Peppermint Junction at Holbeach

Motorists may face delays at a busy junction after a tractor reportedly shed its load of cabbages.

An eye witness said a tractor and trailer had been involved in an incident at Peppermint Junction on the A17 at Holbeach this lunch time.

Shortly before 1.30pm, the witness said that a forklift truck was partly blocking the road to avoid the issue becoming a hazard.

Police officers were at the scene, with some disruption to traffic during the clear-up.

A spokesman said: “We were made aware of this incident at 12.37 today. A trailer has overturned, shedding its load of cabbages at the Peppermint Roundabout in Holbeach.

“Work is underway to get the cabbages cleared up and the trailer recovered.”
