Roadworks on A151 at Weston and Spalding Road in Holbeach create misery for motorists
Three sets of roadworks have created more misery for motorists today.
Anglian Water had two sets of traffic lights in Spalding Road, Holbeach – alongside a further set on the A151 in Weston – which have created long queues of traffic.
Motorists have been suffering from long waits along the A151, where Lincolnshire County Council is undertaking a 12-month scheme to widen the Springfields roundabout, Spalding, as part of a ‘Levelling Up’ project.

A spokesperson said: “We’re sorry for the traffic disruption on the A151 in Weston today. We have needed to install traffic lights to keep our team and other road users safe while we repair a leak in the area. Our teams are on site to complete the repairs and we’re expecting to reopen the road as normal by the end of this week.
“Our local teams have also been repairing a communications pipe on Spalding Road in Holbeach this week which may have caused some traffic disruption whilst we completed repairs. We’re happy to say that the repairs have been completed today (Thursday, December 7) and the road should be back to normal by the end of the week.
“Finding and fixing leaks quickly is why we have the lowest leakage rate in the country, but it does mean there can be some disruption from time to time, so we appreciate everyone’s patience while we complete this essential work.”
