Pinchbeck United mourns loss of club goalkeeper, aged 24
Pinchbeck United Football Club is in mourning today after the sudden passing away of goalkeeper Ashley Moore, aged 24.
Mr Moore, who died this morning, played for the Pinchbeck reserves' team in the Peterborough and District Football League (PDFL).
A tribute on the club's social media page said: "Ash was an incredible guy who always wore his heart on his sleeve.
"He was one of those that are a rarity these days (in) that if you ever needed anything, he was always the first to help.
"Such a lovely guy with an infectious smile who I’m sure myself and the rest of the club will miss dearly."
A minute's silence for Mr Moore, who is survived by his partner, will be held before Pinchbeck's PDFL Division One game against Rippingale and Folkingham at Knight Street, Pinchbeck, on Saturday, December 5.
. A full tribute to Ashley Moore will appear in next Tuesday's Lincolnshire Free Press.
