Tribute has been paid to a much-loved and popular South Holland Council employee who has died after a short illness.
Glen Chapman, who was environmental services business support manager, passed away peacefully at the weekend with his family at his side.
Glen was a hugely popular figure and respected by his colleagues.
He started his career in local government in 1975 and during that time also worked for Breckland Council in Norfolk, as well as many years in South Holland District Council’s environmental services department.
Council leader Gary Porter said: “Everyone connected with South Holland District Council is devastated at the sad news of Glen’s passing.
“I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Glen for many years and he was a much-loved colleague and will be sorely missed.
“Our deepest sympathies are with his wife, daughter, son-in-law and grandson.”
