A Wombles tribute has appeared in Spalding
A mystery knitted womble has been erected as a tribute to the Wombles of Spalding Common.
The symbol of appreciation appeared at Georgian Court, and can be seen when driving by on Haverfield Road.
The Wombles have been attempting to boost litter-picking and recycling in the area since the start of the year. They have recently teamed up with local schools to further increase their efforts.
They have now been honoured in inspiring fashion by the mystery knitters, who remain anonymous at this stage.
If you are the knitter, feel free to get in touch with us at 01775 765403 to tell us more about your project.
