Greencore and Snap Fitness back the Lincolnshire Free Press and Spalding Guardian Education Awards 2023

Two new sponsors have been announced for the Lincolnshire Free Press and Spalding Guardian Education Awards.

Fittingly, Snap Fitness Spalding has backed the Outstanding Sporting Achievement category.

The winner on the night will be an individual or team who has shown great commitment to their sport outside of normal class hours.

Previous winners include swimmer Emma Croker from Spalding High School who went on to represent Great Britain in competitions across the world.

Our Primary School of the Year award has been sponsored by Greencore Spalding this year.

This prize will celebrate a school which makes a real difference to pupils and communities through dedication, innovation and hard work.

Last year, Kirton Primary School scooped the award after impressing the judges with its introduction of free of charge after school sporting activities and cultural visits.

The panel also heard that youngsters at the school also make use of greenhouses and raised vegetable beds on site to learn all about where their food comes from.

Duncan & Toplis is our headline sponsor - and also supports the secondary school student of the year category for 2023.

We’re also grateful for the backing of the following sponsors:

- Bakkavor for the Contribution to the Community category

- Riverside Training for the Pre-School of the Year category

- South Holland District Council, which backs the Environmental Champion award

- Springfields, for the Most Inspirational Primary School Teacher award

- Calthrops for sponsoring the Support Staff Member of the Year award

- Bookmark, which backs the drinks and buffet reception on the awards night

- Charmed Interiors, which supports the programme on the night
