Up to 150 people enjoyed Moulton Chapel's Jubilee celebration

More than a hundred people enjoyed tucking into a picnic and catching up with friends while marking the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The deluge on Sunday did not stop villagers in Moulton Chapel from holding their Jubilee celebration with 150 people going along to the community centre.

Friends and family picked up a pre-ordered picnic box and enjoyed entertainment from PavaNotti along with a band.

Initially the event was due to be held on the community centre field but celebrations were moved inside although some people were still able to sit outside.

One of the organisers was Nicola Smith who was delighted with the event's success.

She said: "Considering the weather it was was amazing.
