Clean-up in Gosberton

Twelve Gosberton annual community litter pickers collected 12 bags of rubbish between them.

It was organised by Gosberton & District Community Action Team (GCAT).

GCAT secretary Jane Parker said: "The aim is to just bring the community together as there was a litter pick last year and no-one to do it this year.

At Gosberton Public Hall were members of the Gosberton annual community litter pick. Front: Rev. Douglas Lewins, also director of Gosberton & District Community Action Team (SG-0308019-028AF).

"The Royal British Legion hosted the litter pick last year but they couldn't this year, so we did. It's the first time GCAT have done it.

"It was successful and it was a good response like last year."

Gosberton Community Action Team is a 'community interest company'. They were introduced in 2005, designed for social enterprises that want to use their profits and assets for the public good. For further information email gcat@gosberton.org
