Moulton Park play area is finally open

Village youngsters finally have their own play area - after decades of waiting.

Moulton Parish Council chairman, Coun Lawrence Wakefield, officially opened the new play area in Moulton Park by cutting the ribbon.

This was a big moment for the council which has been working on plans to convert a section of the parkland into an area for village youngsters for several years.

In January, members of South Holland District Council granted planning permission for a third of an acre of the park to be used as a play area. The committee have also granted the John and Maureen Biggadike Foundation to change the use of the site to open it up to the public.

The foundation is purchasing Moulton Park from the district council.
