Fleet veteran champion Harold Payne honours sacrifice of fallen with 63 memorial ride around Holbeach area memorials
Vintage vehicles completed a 63-mile ride around South Holland to ensure that flowers were laid at the area's war memorials.
Veteran champion Harold Payne took his amphibious craft to around 15 memorials around the Holbeach area to pay homage to those who did not come back.
Starting off at Fleet memorial, Mr Payne was joined by a tank, two 1940s lorries and a Jeep as they snaked their way around the war memorials.
Following social distancing, a small ceremony in which the Last Post was played and homage paid before the flowers were laid.
A youngster laid flowers at the Moulton memorial while serving solder Morgan Sillett also took part in the ride.
At the Holbeach St John's, he also played a naval song for a woman in her 90s who was there to remember her brother and two uncles who had died in service of their country.
Mr Payne said: "It was nice to do something for her.
"Holbeach St John's War Memorial was beautifully kept. You could hardly see the Holbeach St Marks memorial for leaves."
