Spalding Flower Parade 2024 volunteers key to its success

Volunteers have been key in making a town’s major event go smoothly and had their chance to shine.

Some 200 helpers have given their time to assist organiser Stephen Timewell make this year’s Spalding Flower Parade event bigger and better.

Tracey Wells helped out as a volunteer, starting at 6am to help with road closures and organising trade stands and many other details such as a photo booth for selfies.

Sue Jackson, head of volunteers, said: “It has been hectic but worthwhile.”
