Volunteers tidy up Moulton Park
Volunteers have rallied around to spruce up a parkland.
Moulton Park will finally be open to the public in the late spring after being purchased by the John and Maureen Biggadike Foundation.
The organisation is looking forward to opening up the 20-acre parkland which has remained widely unused for many years but all that is set to change.
Moulton Park is soon going to be home to a long-awaited village play area along with providing a tranquil space for walking, relaxation, and exercise.
On Saturday, a group of villagers got together to help ensure the park is ready to be opened up to the wider public.
Biggadike Foundation trustee Steven Adcock said: “We would like to thank everyone that attended and everyone that came along with the tractors, trailers and teleporter.
“We hope everyone will support us in the future when we have other volunteer days as the more volunteers we have the quicker work gets done the earlier we can get the park open to everyone.”
The park, which has been purchased from South Holland District Council, will be managed by a newly-established management committee operating as a separate charity.
