Vans have been stolen in Gedney Hill and Holbeach
Drivers have been warned after two vans have been stolen.
A white transit van was stolen from Park Gardens in Holbeach at around 10am while another van was taken from a site in Gedney Hill on July 31 at noon.
South Holland Police has issued a warning to drivers about van security.
A social media post states: "In both these cases, the keys were left in the vehicle, allowing opportunist thieves to steal them.
"Please be vigilant when it comes to keys, whether they belong to your own vehicle or a work vehicle, and keep in mind the following advice:
"Don’t leave your keys in the vehicle unattended.
"Keep your keys out of reach and out of sight when at home. They are vulnerable to being snatched in sneak-in burglaries.
"Keep your keys secure when out and about. Keep them on your person if you can.
"Keep spare keys secure and safe at all times.
"When using remote locking key fobs check for visible or audible signals that your vehicle locked when you pressed the button."
Anyone with information on either theft should contact police on the 101 number.
