Warning of road closures as Pinchbeck roundabout needs additional surfacing work.
Road closures will be in place as a roundabout undergoes additional surfacing work.
The project at the Spalding Road roundabout in Pinchbeck is expected to take two weeks to complete.
The repairs will start on Monday, June 17 (subject to weather) with the closure of the roundabout and Enterprise Way junction in place between 8pm and 6am on weekdays only.
"Since opening the new roundabout last year, our standard inspection process has flagged up the that the top layer of road surfacing doesn’t meet the stringent requirements and high standard we laid out in our design,” said Karen Cassar, Lincolnshire County Council’s assistant director of highways.
“Because issues like this could lead to the carriageway not lasting as long as it should, the project contractor will be removing and re-laying the surfacing at their own cost as part of our contract with them.
“Although these works will cause some disruption, carrying them out now will save us money and time in the future.
“In the meantime, I want to thank everyone in advance for bearing with us.”
The roundabout was opened in 2022.
A six-month project to widen the Greencell roundabout, which also links Spalding and Pinchbeck, is currently underway.
Lincolnshire County Council recently had to carry out repair work at the Marsh Lane roundabout in Boston after work there ‘didn’t meet requirements’.
