Spalding water supply issues won’t be fixed until Tuesday, according to Anglian Water

Utility firm bosses say that an issue with the water supply in Spalding won’t be fixed until Tuesday.

Properties in and around Spalding have been suffering from an ‘interruption’ to their water supply since yesterday, with customers experiencing low pressure.

Anglian Water now says that the issue has been caused by a burst main – with an estimated fix time of noon on Tuesday.

The issue is thought to have come from on a problem in the London Road area of Spalding – although there are also two other mains repairs reported to be under way, near Woolram Wygate and the railway station. Another mains repair is also being carried out in Wardentree Lane, Pinchbeck.

A statement from Anglian Water said: “We’re sorry you’re still experiencing very low water pressure in Spalding and the surrounding area.

“This is being caused by a burst main which is more complicated to fix than we expected and we’re aiming to have this sorted by July 25 at 12pm.

“We’re working hard to get your supply back to normal as soon as possible. Thanks for bearing with us while we fix this issue.”
