Met Office yellow weather warning in place for South Holland and much of Lincolnshire due to snow and icy conditions
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice in our area over the coming days.
Drivers and commuters have been told that roads and railways are ‘likely to be affected’ by the cold weather, which will see temperatures continue to drop below freezing.
The Met Office warning will come into force from 5pm tomorrow evening (Thursday, November 30), running until 11am on Friday, December 1.
It covers South Holland as well as much of the rest of the centre and north of Lincolnshire.
On the weather agency’s website it says wintry showers are to be expected.
This is likely to lead to icy patches developing.
The yellow weather warning said:
-Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.
-Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
-Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
