Spalding area wedding venue has been granted a licence to hold ceremonies
Owners of a special events venue near Spalding are delighted it has been awarded a licence to hold wedding ceremonies.
Karen and Tony Milsom launched the Wobbly Barn last year, with a focus on offering customers a unique, rural location to host parties, celebrations and intimate wedding receptions.
Now, for the first time, couples can get married at the barn in Weston Hills as well as host their wedding reception there.
During lockdown Karen and Tony made some significant changes to the venue based on learnings from their first year, including the addition of a new 64 sq ft pergola.
Couples wanting to hold their wedding ceremony at the venue now have the option of using either the main barn or the brand-new outdoor pergola – perfect for an intimate, summer wedding.
“Having to close our doors temporarily because of Covid actually presented us with an opportunity to spend some time enhancing the outdoor space,” said Karen.
“Unique event spaces in this area are quite limited and so we developed the Wobbly Barn to offer guests something completely different – almost a blank rural – but rustic – canvas, providing a truly unique space for couples, families and friends to celebrate their special day.
“Since launching last year and talking to couples about what they would like for their wedding day, we have learnt so much. We are so excited to now be able to hold ceremonies here at the barn and cannot wait for next year.
“It really is the icing on the ‘wedding’ cake.”
Set within two-and-a-half acres of beautiful gardens and paddock, the Wobbly Barn offers couples a private, quiet space for celebrating. The venue prides itself on working with and supporting other local suppliers within the area, offering customers access to some of the region’s best wedding suppliers.
Karen added: “This year has been tough on couples planning a wedding, or a big celebration. We are so excited to be now taking wedding bookings for next year and well into 2022/23, giving customers something to really look forward to.”
