Susan Wheeler (62) denies attempted murder of man by stabbing during court appearance today
A 62-year-old woman has denied a charge of attempted murder following a stabbing near Bourne.
Susan Wheeler appeared at Lincoln Crown Court this morning (Monday) in connection with an attack on a man who had suffered a potentially life-threatening stab wound.
Police were called to Obthorpe Lane, Thurlby, at 9.07pm on Wednesday, May 29, where a caller had reported that a man had been injured.
He was taken to Peterborough City Hospital and Wheeler, of The Causeway, Thurlby, was arrested in connection with the incident and subsequently charged.
Wheeler, who pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempting to murder Hugh Wheeler, spoke only to confirm her name, date of birth and nationality as British.
Judge Simon Hirst adjourned the case for a trial at Lincoln Crown Court on February 3, 2020, which is expected to last three days.
Wheeler was granted conditional bail and will next appear at the same court for a pre-trial hearing on September 30.
