Work going on at former Spalding car dealership site which is sold subject to contract
Work is being carried out at a former car dealership site, which has been sold subject to contract.
Contractors have been carrying out work at the Pinchbeck Road site in Spalding, which had operated as the Taylors Vauxhall garage until October last year.
Sold signs are up on the site while estate agent Longstaff website confirmed the land has been sold subject to contract.
The current work on the site is being carried out by Barnett Construction Services.
A spokesman told this paper they were carrying out work on behalf of a utility company, but opted not to give any further details.
The site has previously been sold subject to contract but that fell through in September.
The Longstaff website describes the site as having ‘opportunity for alternative uses, subject to planning consent’.
“The site extends to 2.20 Acres (0.89 Hectares),” it adds.
“Substantial external parking and storage areas extend beyond the buildings up to the Railway line, which runs at the rear of the site.
“A development overage clause exists over a part of the site in favour of the British Railways Board, and there are a number of covenants in existence.”
Select @ Taylors of Spalding closed last year, citing supply issues and rising costs.
