Work on 91km pipeline which runs through Baston, Langtoft and Market Deeping moving at apace

Work is progressing on a 91km pipeline which passes through our area.

Anglian Water says the major construction project – which runs from Grantham to Bexwell, near Downham Market, via Peterborough – will ‘increase reliability and reduce the number of homes and businesses which currently rely on a single pipeline for all their water needs’.

Work has already reached Langtoft and will also pass through Baston and run west of Market Deeping.

Anglian Water added: “We will work hard to keep the impact on communities along the route, and the environment, to a minimum.”

Once complete, the network will move 265 million litres of water a day.
