Work to repair A16 Spalding Roundabout delayed to spring due to cold weather
Work to repair a major roundabout has been delayed until next spring due to the cold weather.
Lincolnshire County Council has been undertaking a £1.2 million improvement project for roundabouts in south Lincolnshire, including those in Crowland and Cowbit.
However, the county council has announced that repairs to the A16/A11751 roundabout near Applegreen will be delayed.
Assistant director for highways Karen Cassar said: “We’ve rebuilt the worst sections of the A16 Spalding Roundabout early last week.
"However, due to the cold, wet weather we had towards the end of last week and will have over the coming months, we’ll be returning next spring to finish the works when the weather is warmer and better for laying new road surfacing.
"I want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we work to improve this key section of the A16.”
