Works causing delays for motorists off A151 and at Whaplode

Motorists have been suffering delays this morning due to road works being carried out in two nearby areas.

The entrance to Spalding Gate off the A151 is currently shut due to Anglian Water carrying out repair and maintenance work.

Meanwhile, drivers are seeing additional delays due to work on Cob Gate in Whaplode where work is undertaken by the National Grid.

“There’s a bad queue both ways at Whaplode,” an eyewitness said.

Diversions are in place for both routes.
