Long Sutton Cricket Club makes a great start with ECB training sessions for kids
Young cricketers have been brushing up on their skills as part of a nationally recognised training programme.
Long Sutton Cricket Club is hosting All Stars Cricket sessions every Wednesday night to help young girls and boys to develop a passion for the sport.
All Stars is a programme run by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for children aged five to eight.
Sessions began on May 12 and run for eight Wednesdays.
Coaches say they've beaten the weather to make a 'great start' in the first couple of weeks.
It's hoped that recent free-to-air test matches and the upcoming T20 World Cup, The Hundred and The Ashes can help drive interest in cricket among young people.
Children on the course receive a personalised shirt, a hat, bat, ball and ruck sack.
