Spalding optician's leads eye workshop for nursery children at Monkshouse Primary School before half-term break

Youngsters at Monkshouse Primary School have their sights set on good eye care with help from a Spalding optical business.

Vicky Harvey, of Molsom and Associates in Hall Place, Spalding, led a workshop with nursery children at the school where the opticians' mascot, Sydney Bear, also helped youngsters focus on eye health.

The workshop included a talk on eye tests and Vicky said: "We sat down on the carpet together and spoke about how important it was to have your eyes tested.

"There were also some fun, interactive activities with some eye balloons and the children were quite excited to meet Sydney Bear.

"The children seemed to like talking about their eyes and they enjoyed trying on glasses and sunglasses as well."
