South Holland District Council puts out warning after youths spotted in Spalding's Ayscoughfee Gardens after closing
A warning has been issued after youths have been using Spalding’s Ayscoughfee Gardens after closing.
Youths were asked to leave by the on duty security guard after being spotted in the gardens on January 25 and February 5.
The group initially refused before complying with the numerous requests made by the security guard to leave the popular gardens after the hall had closed.
South Holland District Council is now appealing for information on these incidents.
A statement said: “No damage has been caused to Ayscoughfee, however the council is deeply concerned as the gardens have an open water area, which is not fenced off and could pose a real danger if someone were to fall in especially at night, particularly in the current temperatures.”
Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact the community safety team by emailing communitysafety@sholland.gov.uk
