ANGLING: Tydd members land impressive weights

Tydd Gote AC members fished their Sunday club match on the 20 foot at Shepson’s Bridge in March and produced some impressive leading weights.

Out in front from a peg two down from the bridge was Andrew Kilby with some quality rudd up to a pound caught on waggler tight across on his maggot hook bait. He boosted his weight with a good tench of nearly 3lb on his worm line for a total of 15lb 6oz.

Second, next to the winner and on the end peg, was Rob Wright with a big tench and some rudd and skimmers for 10lb 12oz. Upstream from the bridge there were fewer fish, Dick Paul patiently waiting for his two good bream to worm for 7lb 6oz and third spot with Dave Simmonds also finding a 3lb bream to go with his bits for 5lb 8oz.
