Boss enjoys Holbeach United's efforts in home win over Rugby Town
Danny Hussey was delighted to see the work-rate and positive performance at Holbeach United this afternoon.
He felt the Tigers' 3-1 win over Rugby Town was fully deserved thanks to first-half goals from Jonny Lockie and Liam Adams (2).
Hussey said: "Sometimes it seems that a week is a long time in football.
"I've been waiting for this game to come along and put it right since the defeat at Leicester Nirvana.
"The boys have taken on board what I want. They worked a lot harder, pressed the ball and played at a good tempo.
"This is what I've asked them to do for three or four weeks.
"They will enjoy playing football and make it much more entertaining by working like that.
"We wanted to see loads of movement between the front three and it was great to see Liam score two goals.
"Jonny was also in the right place at the right time again and he's loving getting goals at the moment.
"His work-rate was phenomenal and he set the pace for everyone else in the team.
"He set the standard by running from one side of the pitch to the other for a tackle to concede a throw-in. It was great to see that."
