GOLF: Dave and Geoff crowned champions

More than 100 golfers from around the region took part in the seniors pairs open at Tydd St Giles.

Seniors captain Trevor Sewell announced that over £600 was raised for this year’s chosen charity with the halfway house and the raffle.

Result: Dave Tasker & Geoff Moyses (Spalding) 44 points, 2 Ian Palfrey & Jim Holland (RAF Marham) 43, 3 ocb Andrew Craft & Bruce Hayes 42.

Tydd winners: 1 ocb Noel Bratt & Steve Cox 43 points, 2 ocb Clive Barber & Wayne Alder 43, 3 ocb Gary Brown & Trevor Hunt 42.

There was a great turnout for Gedney Hill’s joint captains’ day.

Overall winner Kim Markillie was presented with the Terry Chick Memorial Trophy.
