Spalding Indoor Bowls Club progress in the Mixed Top Club, Denny and Yetton competitions

Spalding Lightning safely secured their place in the last 16 of the Mixed Top Club competition with a home win against Leicester on Sunday.

They were in the driving seat early in the tie after securing wins in both the ladies and men’s singles.

This meant that Spalding Lightning only needed a win in one of the remaining disciplines plus the aggregate and, with the pairs 26-1 up at 11 ends, the overall result was never in doubt.
