South Lincs and Border League round-up
Moulton Harrox's second team are celebrating promotion after bouncing back at the first attempt.
They were relegated from Division One of the South Lincs and Border League last season following a reshuffle of clubs.
But clinched second spot in Division Two at the weekend for a rapid return following a 100-run home success over Belton Park.
Moulton made 195-9 from their 45 overs with Jamie Juckes and Ruari Drumm both hitting half-centuries while Mo Alam added 31.
Belton were then bowled out for 95 in reply as Flynn McMillan took 3-20 from seven overs while Alam returned an economical 2-9 off nine overs which featured five maidens.
Moulton finished behind league champions Burghley Park 2nds who were seven-wicket winners against Baston.
James Brisbane finished unbeaten on 21 as Baston were bowled out for 87 with Burghley passing their target despite David Conlon claiming 3-11 from his six overs.
Billingborough 2nds are consigned to a bottom two finish in Division Two after losing by six wickets against Newborough 2nds.
They were restricted to 138-9 after batting first with L Light making 32 while Newborough knocked off the required runs inside 29 overs despite Stuart Gollop taking 4-36 from nine overs.
Billingborough's first team head into their final game of the season on Saturday 17 points adrift of safety in the Championship after losing by 47 runs against Newborough.
Donnal Sylvester and Dave Newman both took two wickets each as Newborough racked up 303-6 from their 45 overs.
Jacob Light blasted six fours and a six in his 72 not out off 58 balls as Billingborough were bowled out for 256. Opener Dylan Garfoot had earlier made 45 with Rob Arnold adding 33.
Bourne 2nds are looking nervously over their shoulders after losing by 19 runs against Boston.
William Patchett produced a superb spell of 4-3 from 5.5 overs which also featured four maidens as Boston were bowled out for 181.
However, Bourne's reply fell short on 162 with Kurt Storey scoring 34 and they now need to avoid a heavy defeat in their final match with Grantham 2nds on Saturday to preserve their Championship status.
Aron John continued his prolific end of season scoring form for Long Sutton 2nds in their 80-run win over Heckington in Division One.
John made 192 last weekend and followed that up on Saturday with 116 not out as Sutton scored 231-1 from their 45 overs.
Luke Barnes added 61 before Heckington were dismissed for 151 in reply as John completed a fine personal performance with 3-26 from his eight overs.
Spalding 2nds will finish bottom of the table after losing by 229 runs against Royal Boston.
The visitors made 275-8 after batting first with Spalding then being dismissed for 46 in reply.
Spalding 3rds conceded their Division Three match against Royal Boston on Sunday.
