Peterborough and District Football League round-up
Moulton Harrox made the most of their title rivals seeing games postponed as they closed the gap at the top of the Peterborough League Premier Division table on Saturday.
Harrox were the only team in the top six to get their game on as frozen pitches forced a number of postponements.
And they secured a hard-fought 3-2 home success over a Sawtry side who had beaten league leaders Uppingham seven days earlier.
Ash Coddington bagged a brace for Moulton with Dec Earth also on target before he was red-carded.
The victory leaves Moulton four points behind table-topping Uppingham with four matches in hand.
They now turn their attention back to the Lincolnshire Junior Cup on Saturday as they host Nettleham in a quarter-final clash at Broad Lane (1.30pm).
The Lincoln side are likely to pose a stern challenge for the current holders as they top the Lincolnshire League, having won 15 of their 17 games this term.
Deeping Rangers Reserves went down to a 1-0 away loss at Netherton on Saturday in the only other top flight game to beat the elements.
Long Sutton were 4-1 home winners over Wisbech Town Reserves in their Division One derby thanks to goals from Calvin Bird (two), Jack Greenacre and Arron Pike.
Whaplode Drove Rovers recorded an excellent 3-1 away win at Warboys Reserves in Division Two with Josh Lawrence, Jordan Woods and Charlie Bosett on target.
Crowland Reserves were 5-1 home winners against Stamford Bels' second string.
Goals from Jordan Kirchin, Billy Gibbs and Harleigh Camfield put Crowland in control before Klyden Lleshi scored twice in the final seven minutes.
Sutton Bridge shared the spoils after a goalless away draw at FC Hampton.
Deeping Rangers A went down to a 2-1 home loss against Ramsey Reserves in Division Three while Elsea Park lost 3-1 at Peterborough City Reserves in Division Four with Toby Eldred scoring their goal.
Deeping United are through to the next round of the Peterborough Challenge Cup after a 3-2 victory at Farcet courtesy of goals from Ben Catanach, Harry Catanach and Steve Jucikas.
