NETBALL: Clash of the Tulips

Tulips Blue took on the newest members of Spalding Netball Club in their debut match at the Boston League.

Despite being a newly-formed team, Tulips Yellow brought their ‘A game’.

However, with experience on their side, Tulips Blue were able to dominate play by ending the first half with a 10-goal lead.

Tulips Yellow found their rhythm as the game progressed by gaining possession with interceptions in the centre third and some great defensive work.

In the third quarter, both teams scored six goals each.

Tulips Blue dug deep for the last 12 minutes with some great action in defence - catching the rebounds and bringing the ball home - meaning they won the game 35-19.
