PHOTO GALLERY: Miles better for Spalding in home win




Spalding started their defence of the Premier Division title with a home victory over Graves Park.

Josh Newton (127) and Jonathan Miles (65) led the scoring as they completed 45 overs on 271-4.

Spalding skipper Miles took 4-24 and Brandon Andrews (4-35) wrapped up the win.

Newly-promoted Graves Park were dismissed for 150 at the start of the 42nd over.

The top three batsmen reached the 30s but none of their team-mates managed double figures.

Long Sutton recorded a second win of the season.

They beat Boston 2nd by 136 runs at Paradise Field as the visitors were 71 all out.

Jimmy Wright struck a half-century for Sutton.

Billingborough lost by three wickets at home to Belton Park while Bourne 2nd beat Sleaford 2nd by the same margin.

Conor Harbron got an unbeaten century for Sleaford but Ben Stroud (96) led the winning response.
