New signings for Deeping Rangers ahead of the United Counties League Premier Division North season

Deeping Rangers have signed top scorer Callum Davies from Holbeach United.

Davies netted 22 times for the Tigers last season in the Thurlow Nunn League Division One North.

His goalscoring exploits attracted the attention of the higher level Clarets who have secured his services for the forthcoming United Counties League Premier Division North season.

Davies will link up with former Holbeach team-mate Harvey Henderson and ex-Tigers duo Spencer Tinkler and Dan Dougill who have agreed to remain at the Haydon Whitham Stadium along with Ben Seymour-Shove.

Elliot Foster - who netted 15 goals for Pinchbeck last season - has also joined the Clarets as well as experienced goalkeeper Aaron Butcher, young custodian Niall Shackleton and former Stamford winger Rodrigo Goncalves who was with Sleaford Town last season.

They have retained the services of David Burton-Jones, Aaron Eyett, Matt Sparrow, Josh Sennett, Tom Smith and Kee Walker from last season.

Former Yaxley defender Taylor Horne has also joined along with Toby Salmon and Henry Langley while Deeping have seen promising youngsters Harry Tidswell, Beau Baines, Will Moxon and Jaden Walker sign for the first team after progressing through the club's ranks.

Holbeach have boosted their attacking options following Davies' departure by signing former Blackstones and Parson Drove frontman Connor Pilbeam.

They have also secured frontman George Frost who spent time on loan at Carter's Park last season from Spalding United which has delighted boss Danny Clifton.

He said: "It's fantastic news that we have got Frosty again as he is an exciting talent and we can't wait to see his progress continue."

Holbeach host Boston Town on Saturday in the Pete Cousins Memorial Cup match at Carter's Park (kick-off 3pm).

They were 3-1 home winners over Peterborough League Premier Division newcomers Stanground Sports on Wednesday night. Pilbeam, Sam Carter and Kyle Compton netted.

Deeping travel to Yaxley on Saturday having ended their home friendlies on Tuesday night with 1-1 against St Neots. Salmon scored their goal.

Bourne welcome Pinchbeck United to the JJ Mac Stadium on Saturday after both sides had midweek outings on Tuesday night.

The Wakes were 2-1 winners against Peterborough United Under 18s thanks to goals from Tom Edwards and Zak Munton while Pinchbeck lost 1-0 at home to King's Lynn Under 23s.

The Knights have lost the services of Zane Millar for the coming campaign after he rejoined Boston Town where he will link up with ex-Pinchbeck player Dan Worthington.

Spalding travel to Stratford Town on Saturday.
